Derby day is coming! Act now!

I’m sure you’ve heard that one before.  “Available for a limited time only..”  “Act now..”  “Supplies are limited…”

Cliché, yes.  But as it pertains to the 12th Annual Poles n Holes Fishing Derby there are some important deadlines and limitations.  So you really should act now, or at least very soon!

1.  Remember the only place to purchase on-line tickets is here. And those advance sales will close on February 13th.  After that you’ll have to wait and purchase your tickets on the ice the day of the derby.  You can avoid long lines on the ice and save $5 by buying in advance.  So don’t wait.

2.  On derby day, parking will be in lots and on the street.  There are three lots along the lakefront from the Fair Grounds to the City Park.  With all the snow, parking on ice isn’t going to even be a possibility.  So come early!  Bring the family to take in the Ice Palace and all that the Polar Fest has to offer as well as the downtown and recreational opportunities that Detroit Lakes has to offer.

The weather forecast is coming more into focus and it looks extremely likely that we are going to avoid the cold temps we’ve had at times this winter.  Great weather, great fishing, fun, food, beverage and the most door prizes we’ve ever had.  It’s going to be an unforgettable experience you don’t want to miss.
