13th Annual Poles N Holes is in the books!

Absolutely beautiful winter weather ushered in a memorable day of fishing and fun on Saturday, February 11 th. Nearly 200 fish were registered and record numbers of fishing enthusiasts and spectators were on the ice to enjoy temperatures that were pushing forty degrees!

Dylan Maneval, of Detroit Lakes caught a 4.93 lb Bass to take home the top fishing prize, a Black Hole Ice Shack. A separate raffle was conducted with David Lick of Fargo being drawn as the lucky winner of a 2022 John Deere X 330 riding lawn mower with snowblower attachments.

An expanded hospitality area featuring door prizes, contests, expanded food and beverage options and a great place to gather proved to be a big hit with spectators and fishermen alike.

The Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club would like to thank our many corporate sponsors who have supported us through the years as well as the fishing public who turns out year after year to make this a successful community event. Over the years we have raised almost $300,000 to support community projects, youth activities, literacy projects and humanitarian needs here and abroad.

Next year’s derby is tentatively scheduled for February 10 th , 2024. So mark your calendars so you don’t miss the fun of the 14 th Annual Poles n Holes Fishing Derby!
